Bless SkateVRBS Brasil
Summary
Short Term Goal
In the first three months: Hold 3 skate+Web3 workshops at Praça Margarida de Menezes with 15+ skaters per event; produce 3 VRBS tutorials in Portuguese; establish a community group with 20+ Brazilian skaters; fully integrate with Web3 for 10 key skaters; and map 5 potential VRBS artistic collaboration points in São Paulo. North Star Create a thriving VRBS ecosystem in Brazil, where skateboarding serves as a cultural bridge connecting urban communities to Web3 opportunities, establishing a replicable model that empowers local creators while enriching the global VRBS movement with Brazil’s unique artistic perspective and street culture.
Author
I am the founder of Bless Skateshop, a space that combines a skateshop and a barbershop located in the North Zone of São Paulo since 2012. My trajectory unites three fundamental elements for this project: skate culture, community impact and experience in Web3. Relevant experience: 12+ years as an entrepreneur in the São Paulo skate scene, building an active community around Bless Skateshop. Organizer of regular skate events and maintenance of Praça Margarida de Menezes, a historic spot for skateboarding in São Paulo. Pioneer in the integration of Web3 in local businesses, being one of the first establishments in São Paulo to accept cryptocurrencies (HBD, USDC, BTC) as a form of payment. Active participant in the Nouns, Gnars and SkateHive communities since 2024, with experience in creating NFTs on the Zora platform documenting local skate culture. Grant recipient from NounsDAO (Prop 24) and Flows.wtf, with a proven track record of project execution and transparent accountability. Has delivered over 75 social haircuts and 30+ Web3 onboardings for local community members. My unique position as a bridge between authentic Brazilian street culture and the Web3 ecosystem qualifies me to lead this expansion of VRBS into Brazil, bringing not only technical expertise but also the trust and respect of the local skate community - essential to the success of this project.
Success Metrics
The success of this project will be measured through three main areas: 1. Web3 Adoption: 30+ new wallets created through onboarding program 20+ skaters making their first interaction with NFTs or VRBS proposals Measurable increase in Brazilian interactions with VRBS content on social platforms 3. Cultural Impact: Documentation of at least 10 stories of local skaters through NFTs on Zora Evidence of VRBS terminology being naturally adopted in the local skate community At least 2 collaborations between Brazilian artists/skaters and the global VRBS community These metrics will be tracked monthly and shared through visual updates on Farcaster, allowing for transparency and ongoing adjustments to the project.
Other info
Regional expansion potential: Although the project will start in São Paulo, I have connections with skate communities in other Brazilian cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Salvador. With positive initial results, we can create a replicable model for national expansion. Strategic partnerships: I have already established preliminary conversations with local skate brands, urban artists such as @grafvisionsp and the Blackchain podcast to amplify the project’s reach. These partnerships are not dependent on additional funding and can be activated immediately. Sustainability: Bless Skateshop will serve as a permanent operational base for the project, ensuring continuity even after the initial funding period. I intend to develop a model where part of the sales of VRBS-related products will be directed to maintaining community activities. Social inclusion: I have proven experience working with young people from vulnerable communities through our social cuts program. This expertise will be applied to ensure that the project reaches not only the already privileged, but also talent from peripheral areas that are typically left out of digital opportunities. Open Documentation: The entire implementation process, including successes and challenges, will be documented and shared as an educational resource for other global communities interested in replicating the model. I believe transparency is key to the healthy growth of the ecosystem.
