Animators Residency

What's your background?

I am an artist/illustrator/animator from Durban South Africa. Ive been working in crypto since 2020. I have worked as art lead on a couple of projects in the crypto arena and my animating experince has been a small but passionate part of that. I animated a documentary on Poeetry and transformation in South Africa for the Local university(UKZN) creative association, and have done few small animated pieces for kicks. I have submitted 11 animated PFPs for GroundsDAO of which all but one have made it to auction.

What will you be doing?

I will be riffing off the vrbs vibe with short animated pieces. Currently I use Procreate dreams for animating but I am keen to buy the Moho suite and learn more in depth about rigging 2D vector animation.

Time you can commit

I will allocate a couple of hours a week. I work as a freelance musician and artist in Durban so my schedule is pretty loose but I am productive and when I get going on a project I tend to spend more time than I intend just because I like doing things properly.

Why you care about Vrbs?

I love the nouns and nouns derivative creativity-first funding model. I love the types of creatuve projects that are spawned by these types of community driven platforms and would love to be a part of that creative force in the VRBs group. - and I love art and animating.
