If you win the Mystery Mug Auction, you will receive a mystery mug and 50% creator split of a never-before-seen Art Race Submission.
Why Mystery Mug ?
Mystery Mug is an experimental sponsorship model for Art Race. I hypothesize that we have Vrbs artists that prefer to receive funding upfront to do their art, vs. receiving payouts only when they win the Art Race.
Auctions for shared equity in Art Race are one candidate mechanism to give Artists more options for generating income in Vrbs. I plan to use the feedback from Mystery Mug to gauge interest in sponsorship models and iterate on this model with community feedback.
